Why the Athabasca Basin
The Athabasca Basin in northern Saskatchewan is one of the world’s premier uranium districts, known for high-grade deposits formed at or near the base of the basin.
Saskatchewan is an established uranium mining jurisdiction with existing infrastructure and access, which Maverick’s Board expects to support relatively low-cost exploration.
Three projects, ~867 km²
On completion of its acquisition, Maverick will hold 100% of three early-stage uranium projects covering ~867 km² across 26 granted claims.
Newnham Lake (~295 km²)
Inside the north-eastern Athabasca Basin, beneath sandstone cover, and considered prospective for all styles of unconformity-related uranium. Conductor trends along the Brink–Gauthier lineament remain largely untested, and this is where Maverick plans its maiden drilling.
Boland Lake (~206 km²)
About 6 km east of the basin’s current margin, on rocks of the Daly Lake Group, which hosts many of the eastern basin’s known uranium deposits. Considered prospective for basement-hosted uranium, with no drilling on record.
Wollaston Lake South (~366 km²)
About 25 km east of the basin margin and considered prospective for basement-hosted uranium. A new airborne survey covered the property in 2026, and there is no verified historical drilling.
